Applying for a Dubai visa from Istanbul, Ankara, Antalya or any other Turkish city is fully online, but it is not optional. Ordinary Turkish passport holders do not get visa-free entry or visa on arrival in the UAE, whatever some travel sites claim. You need an approved e-visa before Turkish Airlines, Pegasus, Emirates or flydubai will issue a boarding pass. This page covers who needs the visa, what it costs, the documents required, and how the process works whether you live in Istanbul, Ankara, Izmir, Antalya or Çayırova.
Everything below applies to tourist and visit visas arranged through a licensed sponsor. Work visas follow a different route and are covered briefly near the end.
Do Turkish Citizens Need a Visa for Dubai?
Yes, if you hold an ordinary (maroon) Turkish passport. Turkey is not on the UAE's visa-free or visa-on-arrival list for ordinary passports, so every Turkish tourist needs a pre-approved visa regardless of the length or purpose of the trip. Holders of Turkish green (special), grey (service) and diplomatic passports are reported to have visa-free entry of up to 90 days under a separate arrangement — confirm your specific passport type with the airline before relying on it.
The UAE government does not issue visit visas directly to individuals. Your application must be filed by a UAE-based sponsor — a resident relative, a hotel, an airline, or a GDRFA-registered visa agency such as Emirates Dubai Visas. We file under our own establishment card, pay the government fee, and email you the approved visa. No embassy appointment, no courier, no sticker.
Dubai Visa from Istanbul, Ankara, Antalya and Other Cities
The visa is the same wherever in Turkey you apply from. The differences are practical: which airport you fly from and how quickly you can get the documents together.
Applying from Istanbul
Most applications we receive from Turkey come from Istanbul, with direct flights to Dubai from both Istanbul Airport (IST) and Sabiha Gökçen (SAW) on Turkish Airlines, Pegasus, Emirates and flydubai. Apply for the Dubai visa from Istanbul at least five working days before departure; four hours is enough on Urgent processing if a flight is brought forward.
Applying from Ankara, Antalya and Izmir
A Dubai visa from Ankara or Antalya follows exactly the same online process. Ankara Esenboğa has direct flights on Turkish Airlines and flydubai; Antalya and Izmir have seasonal and connecting services. Applicants from Çayırova, Kocaeli and other cities without a direct route usually fly via Istanbul — the visa does not care which airport you use.
Not a Turkish Citizen but Living in Turkey?
Residents of Turkey holding another passport — Iranian, Russian, Syrian, Iraqi and Azerbaijani residents are the most common — apply on their own nationality's rules and upload a copy of their Turkish residence permit (ikamet) with the application. Your eligible visa types and price are set by your passport, not your address.
Emirates Airline vs Emirates Dubai Visas
A lot of Turkish travellers search for "Emirates visa" meaning the airline. Emirates Dubai Visas is an independent visa consultancy, not affiliated with Emirates airline, and the visa we file is issued by the UAE immigration authorities, not by any carrier. You can fly with Emirates, Turkish Airlines, Pegasus or anyone else on a visa filed through us.
Dubai Visa from Istanbul: Price for Turkish Citizens
The price of a Dubai visa from Istanbul, Ankara or anywhere else in Turkey depends on how long you want to stay and whether you need single or multiple entry. All prices are in US dollars, per person, and match our homepage. The cheapest option is the 48-hour or 96-hour transit visa at $100; the standard 30 Days single-entry visa is $140.
| Visa type | Entry | Processing time | Stay validity | Visa validity | From |
|---|
| 14 Days Visa | Single | 1-2 days | 14 days | 60 days | $140 / person |
| 30 Days Visa | Single | 1-2 days | 30 days | 60 days | $140 / person |
| 30 Days Visa | Multiple | 2-3 days | 30 days | 60 days | $300 / person |
| 60 Days Visa | Single | 1-2 days | 60 days | 60 days | $450 / person |
| 60 Days Visa | Multiple | 2-3 days | 60 days | 60 days | $600 / person |
| 48 Hrs Visa | Single | 2-3 days | 48 hours | 14 days | $100 / person |
| 96 Hrs Visa | Single | 2-3 days | 96 hours | 14 days | $100 / person |
Your card converts the USD amount to Turkish lira at its own rate on the day of payment. The price bundles the GDRFA government fee (non-refundable once submitted), our sponsorship and service fee, and travel insurance where the visa type requires it. Flights, hotels and any overstay fines are not included. Since February 2026 the UAE charges AED 50 per day of overstay with no grace period.
Need longer once you are in the UAE? The 30 Days Inside A2A Visa Extension is priced from $450 per person, processed in one to two days, and must be applied for before your current visa expires. Transit visas cannot be extended.
Flying sooner than planned? At checkout you can switch to Express (approval in 7-8 working hours) or Urgent (3-4 working hours). Both are priced on top of the standard fee and a specialist files the application the same day. Details on the Express and Urgent visa page.
Be careful with agents in Istanbul or Ankara quoting far below these figures or promising "vizesiz" entry. Government fees cannot be discounted, and a suspiciously cheap visa is often never filed. Verify any visa you receive on the GDRFA portal before you travel.

Dubai Visa Requirements for Turkish Citizens
To be eligible for a Dubai visa from Istanbul or any Turkish city through a sponsor, you need:
- A Turkish passport valid for at least six months from your planned entry date, with clear blank pages.
- No UAE immigration ban or unpaid overstay fines from a previous trip.
- A confirmed return or onward ticket.
- Proof of accommodation — a hotel booking, or a host's details if staying with a UAE resident.
- Applicants under 18 travelling without both parents may need a no-objection letter from the absent parent.
Turkish applicants are not routinely asked for a bank statement for standard 30-day or 60-day tourist visas. One may be requested for a 60-day visa in some cases. Both the older Turkish passport and the current chip e-passport are accepted; a passport under six months' validity is refused every time.
Documents Required for a Dubai Visa from Istanbul
Upload clear colour scans or phone photos. Blurred or cropped passport pages are the single most common reason an application is sent back for correction.
- Passport bio page — the full page with all four corners visible.
- Passport-size photograph — plain background, taken within the last six months, face fully visible.
- Confirmed flight ticket — return or onward.
- Accommodation proof — hotel booking, or your host's Emirates ID copy and tenancy contract.
- Residence permit — only if you are applying from outside Turkey.
You never send your physical passport anywhere. The visa is fully electronic and linked to your passport number. The full document checklist is on our how to apply page.
Dubai Visa Types for Turkish Passport Holders
30 Days Visa — Single or Multiple Entry
The standard choice for holidays, shopping and short family visits. Single entry ($140) suits a straight return home; multiple entry ($300) is for travellers who plan to leave the UAE and come back within the 60-day validity — a side trip to Oman, for example. The stay is counted from the day you land, not the day the visa is issued.
60 Days Visa — Single or Multiple Entry
Popular with Turkish business visitors attending Gulfood, GITEX and Big 5, and with families visiting relatives working in the UAE. Single entry is $450; multiple entry is $600.
14 Days Visa
A short single-entry visa for a stopover stretched into a few days, or a single event. Same price as the 30-day single ($140), so most travellers choose the 30-day option unless the shorter validity suits them.
48-Hour and 96-Hour Transit Visas
For a layover in Dubai on the way to a third country, when you want to leave the airport. Both are $100, single entry, valid to enter within 14 days of issue, and cannot be extended. A confirmed onward ticket is required.
Not Covered on This Page
A Dubai work visa is sponsored by a UAE employer through the Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation, not by a visa agency. If you have a job offer, your employer starts the process. Working on a visit visa is illegal and leads to a ban.
How to Apply for a Dubai Visa from Istanbul or Ankara Online
The process is fully online and takes about ten minutes. You can apply from Istanbul, Ankara, Izmir, Antalya, Bursa or anywhere with an internet connection.
- Select your nationality and country of residence, then choose your visa type.
- Fill in the application form and upload your documents.
- Choose Normal, Express or Urgent processing and pay securely by card.
- A visa specialist reviews the file against current entry rules before it is filed with GDRFA.
- Track the status online using the Emirates visa status page.
- Receive your e-visa by email. Print a copy and carry it with your passport.
Once approved, confirm whether your airline needs OK to Board. Turkish Airlines and Pegasus generally verify the e-visa at check-in; Emirates and flydubai may require OK to Board on some routes.
Processing Time for Turkish Applicants
Standard processing is one to two working days for single-entry visas and two to three working days for multiple-entry and transit visas, counted from the day GDRFA receives a complete file. Working days are Monday to Friday in the UAE.
Turkish applications are rarely referred for extra review. Apply at least five working days before departure, or use Express or Urgent if your dates are close. Approval and timing always rest with GDRFA, not with any agency.
Dubai Visa vs UAE Visa for Turkish Citizens
A UAE visa and a Dubai visa are the same kind of document with a different issuing authority. A visa sponsored by a Dubai-based company is issued by GDRFA Dubai. One sponsored from Abu Dhabi, Sharjah or another emirate is issued by the federal Identity and Citizenship Authority (ICP). Every visa we issue is valid across all seven emirates, so a Dubai-issued visa is fine for a trip to Abu Dhabi or Sharjah.
If you are landing at Dubai International (DXB) on Turkish Airlines or Emirates, a GDRFA-issued visa keeps status checks and extensions in one system. If you are landing at Sharjah on Air Arabia or Pegasus, either authority works.
Why Turkish Dubai Visa Applications Get Rejected
Refusals for Turkish applicants are uncommon when the file is complete. The issues we see most often:
- Passport validity under six months at the date of travel.
- Name mismatch between the passport and the application form.
- Previous overstay in the UAE with fines still unpaid.
- Poor-quality scans where the passport number or photo is unreadable.
- Wrong visa type — applying for a tourist visa when the real purpose is job hunting.
Specialist-checked, filed the same day. Every Dubai visa from Istanbul or Ankara we file comes with written USD pricing and no hidden charges
